Evolved publishes The Longshore Lowdown, a guide for people living near an East or Gulf Coast port who want to understand how longshore hiring works. Rather than one national overview, it is organized port by port, from large hubs such as New York / New Jersey, Savannah, Houston and New Orleans to smaller ones like the Port of Albany, Gulfport and Morehead City. Each port gets an overview, and members save a preparation checklist that follows the path from first hearing the docks are hiring, through registration at the hiring hall and casual call, to working casual shifts.
A mentor that cites its sources
The paid tiers add an AI mentor that answers questions about a port, its hiring hall and the union, and points to the passage in the guide each answer comes from. The site says answers rely on public sources and that uncertain details must be confirmed with the hall. It also says work is never promised and that the guide is independent of the ILA and its locals. The site credits the idea to a longshoreman with two decades in the ILA, with AI agents running the guides.

The Full Guide costs $14.99 a month and includes introductory guides on protective equipment, dock hazards, lashing awareness, terminology and waterfront history, plus a members' board.
