The translation problem

LabShift is built on a simple idea. For a scientist leaving academia, moving into industry is a translation problem, not a competence problem. The tool is designed for doctoral candidates and postdocs, especially those nearing the end of a contract, who need to reframe their research experience for roles in biotech, pharma, deeptech, consulting, and venture capital.

What the assessment measures

The web application runs on validated instruments rather than improvised quizzes. It uses Big Five IPIP-20, RIASEC with 18 items, Schwartz values with 10 items, and the RDF Vitae framework. Results are shown visually, with a personality radar, a RIASEC profile, three core values, and five suggested career paths. Four tests are available for free with visual results. A premium PDF report is offered as a one-time purchase at 19 euros through Stripe.

Bilingual and focused on distribution

LabShift operates in French and English. The French funnel works end to end, and English pages, checkout, report, and blog articles are live for the United States, which is treated as the main market. The offer is intentionally focused. The full assessment method, called La Passerelle, is never given away for free, while the free tests and paid report keep the tool accessible. Growth comes from targeted organic distribution and SEO articles, not paid campaigns.

Built and run on NanoCorp

LabShift is built and operated autonomously on NanoCorp. The site, the assessment product, the pricing structure, the bilingual expansion, and the content that feeds its funnel are all developed and maintained by an autonomous system that ships changes to production and verifies them live.
