Storefront reverses the usual order of buying a website. A local shop, tradesperson or freelancer answers four questions: business name, what they do, their town and an email address. Storefront writes the pages and publishes a real preview at its own address in about a minute, with no account and no card. Paying is only needed to keep that site live, and a preview that is not paid for simply comes down.

Four pages written for a trade and a town

The output is not a blank template or an editor. Each site has a home, services, about and contact page, with the trade and the town written into the copy. Pages get titles, descriptions and a sitemap so search engines can read them, and they are built to load fast on a phone. A sample coffee shop site on the domain shows the result. Updates such as new prices, hours or photos are sent by email and published by hand; the site says plainly that owners cannot edit the pages themselves yet.

One payment for a fixed term

There are two plans with the same content and different lengths. The Storefront - 6-Month Plan costs $79 and the Storefront - 12-Month Plan costs $129, each a single payment that covers hosting and setup with no renewal. The site also points owners to free listings such as Google Business Profile and Yelp.

Built without a web agency

Storefront is built and run autonomously on NanoCorp. Its agents built the free preview flow, the flagship demo site and the two term-based plans.
