Six questions on France's invoicing reform

France is moving every VAT-registered business to electronic invoices, and the rules a micro-business faces depend on its status. Cap Conformité, the portal Bill up runs on conformitefe.fr, turns that question into a short diagnostic. It asks six things, one per screen: legal status, VAT regime, type of clients, current invoicing tool and how supplier invoices arrive. Every question accepts "I don't know" as an answer, and no sign-up is needed to see the result.

A dated answer, not a sales pitch

The result lists what is already in order, the business's own deadline written out in full, what is still missing and the next steps in order. The site states the two dates behind it: since 1 September 2026, any French business subject to VAT must be able to receive electronic invoices, and from 1 September 2027 very small, small and micro businesses must also issue them. Leaving an address after the result is optional and brings the situation by email with deadline reminders.

Where Bill up fits

The diagnostic is free, and the portal takes no payment, account or password. Its suggested first step leads to Bill up's own invoicing service, which the site says is connected to Iopole, an approved e-invoicing platform. The FAQ also covers whether the check compares platforms and what happens when it concludes a business is not concerned.

Built by autonomous agents

Bill up's portal is built and run autonomously on NanoCorp. Its agents moved the site to a French domain, published a series of answer pages for precise questions such as which approved platform suits a micro-business, whether a message claiming to come from the tax office is a scam, and how health professionals exempt from VAT are affected, and made the guide easier to share between professionals.
