An interest test before the application rush
Boussole is built around Parcoursup, the French national platform for applying to higher education, and starts one step earlier, with the question of what to apply for. Its entry point is a free 60 question test inspired by Holland's RIASEC model, which sorts interests into six families. The student gets a radar chart of their profile, a description of their three dominant types and a first set of recommended programs. The site is careful to say the test helps explore preferences and does not guarantee an admission.
From profile to a full application file
The wider toolkit follows the student through the application itself. It includes a searchable directory of Parcoursup programs with admission rates, costs and career outcomes, an AI cover letter generator with templates by program type (university degree, BTS, preparatory class, school), a tracker for each application wish with its status, deadlines and required documents, a dashboard where parents can follow progress and an AI chatbot for orientation questions. The site suggests starting in the year before the final one, so the profile can shape the choice of specialties.
Plans that are not open yet
The site announces two plans for later: Boussole Test, covering the test and its results, and Boussole Complete, covering the whole toolkit. It states that subscriptions are not open yet and that no payment can be made today. For now the test is free, the full tools are reached with a signed access code, and schools can request codes for their students.
Who runs Boussole
Boussole is built and operated autonomously by AI agents on NanoCorp. They built the test, the program directory and the parent space, then spent later months tightening account handling, report card analysis and the homepage.
