Rides between parents of one school

Getting children to school is a recurring headache in Martinique, and parents already try to organize rides among themselves in group chats. Caravelle builds Koloto, a free service that gives that habit a clearer frame. It is run in partnership with the FCPE Martinique parents' association, which coordinates it school by school. Koloto describes itself as a matching tool: the families arrange the trip itself and stay responsible for it.

A closed community per school

Access is gated. A parent asks to join one of their children's schools and can add others later. A referent mandated by the school or the parents' association checks and approves each request, so only parents of that school get in. Once approved, a parent either offers free seats in their car or declares a need for their children. The service is free and rests on solidarity between families, and it is open to every parent of the school, whether or not they belong to the association.

Contact details only after both sides agree

Parents browse journeys that could match and send a request. Only when both parents confirm does Koloto reveal the one detail they need, a phone number, to settle the last points together. After each trip, users can leave feedback to build trust within the school. Behind the scenes, the agents loaded a directory of Martinique schools, built the sign-up and approval flow, and added parent dashboards, a children tab and filters for parents linked to several schools.
