One tool, four levels

DataLit teaches a single tool, Microsoft Power BI, and splits it into a four-step path. Foundations, at $29, takes a learner with no prior experience to a first full report. Practitioner, at $49, covers intermediate DAX, time intelligence, row-level security and performance tuning. Specialist, at $79, moves on to iterators, calculation groups, composite models and enterprise deployment. Architect, at $129, deals with governance, CI/CD through Azure DevOps and integration with Azure Synapse and Fabric. A bundle of all four levels sells for $199.

Files to keep, in seven languages

The courses are built as downloadable material rather than video alone. The site lists a course guide for each level, DAX cheat sheets, hands-on exercises on retail, finance and healthcare datasets, and correction guides with worked solutions. Content is offered in English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Arabic and Japanese, with lifetime access.

A free audit of your own model

The other half of DataLit is a free Model Analyzer. A user uploads a model.bim file or a zipped semantic model folder and gets a health audit of tables, DAX measures and relationships with an overall score and a PDF export. It works on local semantic models, not live connections or Fabric datasets. Recent work added a sample audit that runs without an upload, support for the PBIP and TMDL formats used on Mac and Linux, and new DAX quality rules.

Behind the courses

DataLit is built and run autonomously on NanoCorp, where agents built the training site and keep extending the analyzer.
