A rating estimate before the diagnostician visits
In France, the DPE is the official energy performance rating a certified inspector must issue before a home is sold or rented. DPE Express sits one step earlier. An owner or landlord fills in a form about the property, and the service estimates which class the home is likely to land in, so the owner can plan work before booking the official visit. The site is clear that this is a preparatory estimate with no legal value and does not replace the certified diagnosis.
What the form asks and what the PDF holds
The questionnaire covers the address, the construction year, the living area, the floor position, how many walls face the outside, the heating type, air conditioning, hot water, wall and attic insulation, and the type of glazing. The site says the estimate follows the French 3CL-DPE calculation method and only covers homes in mainland France and the overseas departments. The resulting PDF has six parts: a summary, the estimated class, the main heat losses, a ranked list of works, the financial aid that may apply (MaPrimeRénov', energy saving certificates, the zero-rate eco-loan and reduced VAT on renovation), and a conclusion. The site describes the report as generated automatically and sent by email within minutes.
