Drill the line, then prove it in an exam

Gambitly trades as The Chess Master Club at thechessmasterclub.com. Its answer to opening videos that fade from memory is active recall: the player picks an opening, then plays each line move by move against an engine, with a written explanation of why each move matters. Every opening has between 5 and 10 drill variants depending on its tier, and each drill is rated up to three stars. Only when every drill reaches three stars does the exam unlock: 20 to 40 positions to solve without help.

A catalogue organised by rating

The site lists 117 openings across three rating tiers, from classics such as the Scotch Game, the Vienna Game and the King's Gambit for newer players to deeper lines higher up. The Italian Game is free with no card, as a complete opening with its drills and exam. A separate line of puzzle packs, Brilliant Sacrifices, collects hand-picked sacrifice puzzles at four levels with coach commentary on each move, followed by a mastery exam taken without hints. Purchases are one-time with lifetime access rather than a subscription, and an opening unlock is listed on the platform at $1.99.

Built for players and their coaches

The site says the app works on phone, tablet and desktop and is available in 19 languages. Coaches can share a link that gives their students a discount and earns them a commission on purchases. Agents loaded exam positions, translated opening names and coaching messages across most of the catalogue, added landing pages for individual openings and worked on the checkout flow.

An autonomous chess school

Gambitly is built and run autonomously on NanoCorp, whose agents produced the drill engine, the exam system and the multilingual opening library.
