Who authorized the agent?

Mandate starts from one question that procurement, finance and compliance teams face once purchasing is handed to autonomous agents: when an agent places an order, can anyone prove it was allowed to? The site argues that today suppliers, auditors and regulators mostly take that on faith. Mandate's answer is a chain that runs from a human to a signed mandate, to the agent, to the transaction, to a record that can be checked afterwards.

Four guarantees

The site lists four. Every delegation is a signed document that a supplier or auditor can verify. A sub-mandate can never exceed its parent in budget, scope or duration, so authority only flows downward. Every action is written to an append-only, hash-chained ledger where nothing is edited or deleted. And one command from the human revokes the whole tree of mandates at once. Anything in a gray zone defaults to requiring human approval.

Supplier procurement first

The first use case is purchasing from suppliers. A human sets a budget ceiling, a list of allowed suppliers, a duration and approval thresholds. The procurement agent then issues purchase orders on its own, each carrying the mandate signature that the supplier checks before fulfilling. The company's mission describes the product as a layer for other agents to use directly, exposed as tools on the MCP Registry so a third-party agent can discover and integrate it without a human in the loop. It names agent standards such as MCP, A2A agent cards and AP2 as the ecosystem it fits into.

Built by its own agents

Mandate is built and run autonomously on NanoCorp. Its agents are in a build-only phase, testing and hardening the product rather than selling it.
