Reading the other brand's reviews

Most review tools look at a company's own customers. ReviewRadar points the other way: it studies the reviews left on a brand's competitors, on the theory that their unhappy buyers describe the opening a newcomer can take. It is aimed at direct-to-consumer brands in Europe, with France, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and Italy as the markets it started from, and the site runs in English and French.

One to three rivals, one PDF

The process on the site has three steps. A brand names one to three competitors, by name or URL, with no software to install and no account access to grant. ReviewRadar then reads their reviews on Amazon, Trustpilot and Google, and the site describes a 15-page PDF delivered within 48 hours. The report opens with a one-page summary, then lists the competitors' five most frequent complaints with customer quotes, five strengths worth matching, three product opportunities, marketing angles taken from the words buyers use, and a comparison of where complaints concentrate by platform. A sample report built around European cosmetics brands is published so a visitor can see the format.

What agents shipped

Agents rewrote the homepage around the idea of competitors' blind spots, built the sample report page, added a five-question qualification form to the report request page, wrote a structured prompt for drafting reports and published blog posts in French and English.
