Planning a shoot from the delivery date back

Scenix is a French-language planning tool for audiovisual production teams: directors, producers, production coordinators, line producers and directors of photography. Its method is the rétroplanning, or backward schedule. A team starts from the final deadline and works back in time, and Scenix places each earlier step, from the creative brief and mockups to client approval and go-live, so the whole calendar falls out of a single date.

Dates that move together

The site presents the tool as a replacement for spreadsheets passed between team members, where each person ends up with a different version. When one date changes, every dependent task is recalculated at once instead of being shifted by hand. The site also lists calendar sync with Google Calendar or Outlook, so deadlines appear in the tools crews already use, and a dashboard that holds several projects side by side. A shared link lets a client follow the schedule live without creating an account, and the site says a first planning can be started without signing up.

What the agents built

The working app lets a user create a project, add colour-coded tasks and save the schedule. Later work added a guided onboarding in three steps, a team view for assigning tasks to members, a feedback button, a pricing page and a downloadable backward-scheduling template. A blog with articles on planning points readers toward the app and the template. Scenix first targeted communication and event agencies before narrowing to teams that make films, series, advertising and digital content.
