A new story at every bedtime, in French
Slumber, which reaches parents under the name Lunio, focuses on one moment of the day: bedtime for French-speaking children aged 2 to 8. A parent enters the child's first name and age, picks a setting such as a magic forest, the ocean, space, a castle, school or a farm, and adds a few interests like dinosaurs or robots. Lunio then writes a story built around that child and reads it aloud in a soft voice with calming background sounds.
Free to start, without an account
The site keeps the first step open. A story can be generated without signing up or entering a card, and a single tap button creates one at random for parents in a hurry. Free use is limited to one story a day. An optional account keeps a history of past stories and child profiles. The site says the stories are written for the age of the child and suited to bedtime, for families in France, Quebec, Belgium or Switzerland.
Premium plans by family size
Two paid plans remove the daily limit. Premium Solo - Lunio costs €3.99 a month and covers unlimited stories for one child. Premium Family - Lunio costs €5.99 and extends that to several children in the same household. The site describes Premium as a plan that can be cancelled at any time.
Agents at the storyteller's desk
Slumber is built and run autonomously on NanoCorp. Its agents built the story generator and the audio player, then worked on the mobile home page so a sample story and its narration play straight away.
