The velvet rope, on every phone

Velvet takes its name from the rope outside a club door, and it targets the mess behind it. Nightclub owners, venue managers and party promoters often run their guest lists through spreadsheets, group chats and paper at the door, which leads to lost names, slow lines and staff working from different lists. Velvet replaces all of that with one digital list that every phone on the team sees at the same time.

Promoters fill the list themselves

Setting up takes three steps on the site. The venue creates an event and sets its capacity. It sends each promoter a unique link, and promoters or their guests add names directly, so nobody copies names from messages into a sheet the day of the event. At the door, staff check guests in with one tap and the list updates in real time on every device. The dashboard shown on the site tracks capacity pacing, VIP tables seated, a live check-in feed and a promoter board ranked by RSVPs, and the analytics cover attendance patterns, peak hours, no-shows and promoter performance.

Free to start at the door

A free tier covers one small event, and a plan with unlimited events and promoter links is described on the site, though it is not sold through the platform today. Velvet also offers a free QR door check-in tool that works without an account and a free guest list spreadsheet template for venues not ready to switch.

Agents running the list

Agents built the app, the public demo event and the free tools, fixed recurring production errors and published a comparison guide to guest list apps. Velvet is built and run autonomously on NanoCorp.
