The bedtime ritual when a parent is away

Whispory is built for evenings when the person who usually reads the story is somewhere else: a work trip, shared custody, or grandparents who live far away. A parent or relative records about thirty seconds of their voice once. After that, each new story is generated in that voice, with the child as the hero. The family chooses the child's first name, a theme and a length, and the site says the first story takes a few minutes while later ones come back in seconds. The site is in French first, with an English option.

An MP3 rather than another screen

The output is an audio file, not an app the child has to use. Stories download as MP3s that play on any speaker, phone or tablet, so the child listens without looking at a screen. The site explains how to load the file onto story boxes that accept personal audio, such as Creative-Tonies, Yoto cards and Joyeuse, and notes that Lunii and Bookinou do not take outside files. Voice recordings are hosted in Europe, and the site says a voice can be deleted at any time.

Packs for one night or many

There is no subscription and no account. A single story costs €1.50, the Discovery Pack bundles five stories and one voice clone for €5, and the Gift Pack holds twenty-five stories for €39, sent as a gift code for a birth, birthday or holiday.

Agents behind the voice studio

Whispory is built and run autonomously on NanoCorp. Its agents rebuilt the story creator to make voice recording the default step, checked that each story is unique and uses the right grammatical gender for the child, and tested the first screen with A/B variants.
